Sir John James Skehel (geboren op 27 februari 1941) FRS FMedSci is een Brits viroloog en emeritus wetenschapper aan het Francis Crick Instituut in Londen.
Van 1987 tot 2006 was hij directeur van het National Institute for Medical Research (NIMR) in Mill Hill. Dit werd in 2016 opgenomen in het Crick Institute.
