John Everett Tourtellotte (22 februari 1869 - 1939) was een vooraanstaand westers Amerikaans architect. Hij is vooral bekend om zijn projecten in Idaho. Zijn werk in Boise omvatte het Idaho State Capitol, de Boise City National Bank, de Carnegie Library, en talrijke andere gebouwen voor scholen, universiteiten, kerken en overheidsinstellingen.

Zijn bedrijf heette John E. Tourtellotte & Company. Hij werkte ook samen met een ander bedrijf, Tourtellotte and Hummel, gevestigd in Boise. Documentatie, erkenning en behoud

De studie uit 1982 die de werken van Tourtellotte en Hummel inventariseerde, droeg sterk bij aan de erkenning van hun architectonische en historische waarde. Veel van de gebouwen die in die inventaris betrokken waren, werden opgenomen in het National Register of Historic Places, wat hun bescherming en restauratie in latere decennia vergemakkelijkte.
