Geschiedenis
19e eeuw
In 1868 werd Gove County opgericht. Het werd genoemd naar Granville Llewellyn Gove, lid van het 11e Regiment Kansas Volunteer Cavalry. Hij was ook de zoon van Moses Gove, een voormalig burgemeester van Manhattan, Kansas.
