1985-86 NHL seizoen | het 69e seizoen

Het NHL-seizoen 1985-86 was het 69e seizoen van de National Hockey League. Eenentwintig teams speelden elk 80 wedstrijden. In dit seizoen introduceerde de Board of Governors van de league de Presidents' Trophy, die zou gaan naar het team met het beste algemene record in het reguliere NHL-seizoen. De Edmonton Oilers werden de eerste winnaars van deze prijs.

De Montreal Canadiens versloegen de Calgary Flames met vier wedstrijden tegen één in de finalereeks om de Stanley Cup te winnen.
