Selkirkshire is een Brits graafschap in Schotland. Het grenst aan Berwickshire, Peeblesshire en Midlothian. Heel Selkirkshire ligt in het Schotse Borders-raadsgebied. De shire is genoemd naar de stad Selkirk.
De provinciestad van Selkirkshire is de Royal Burgh of Selkirk.
Selkirkshire County Council werd, zoals alle County Councils in Schotland, opgericht in 1890. De Raad vergaderde in Selkirk. Selkirkshire County Council werd beëindigd in 1975.
In 1975 werd een nieuwe Borders Region gemaakt. Selkirkshire werd onderdeel van het district Etterick and Lauderdale. Etterick and Lauderdale District Council werd in 1996 opgeheven.
Selkirkshire ligt nu allemaal in het gebied van de Scottish Borders Council.
