1998-99 NHL seizoen

Het 1998-99 NHL seizoen was het 82ste reguliere seizoen van de National Hockey League. Zevenentwintig teams speelden elk 82 wedstrijden.

De Dallas Stars eindigden als eerste in het reguliere seizoen. Ze wonnen de Stanley Cup Championship over de Buffalo Sabres met een betwist overtime doelpunt van Brett Hull.

De keepers bleven de dienst uitmaken; slechts twee teams, de Toronto Maple Leafs en de New Jersey Devils, scoorden gemiddeld meer dan drie doelpunten per wedstrijd. Bovendien bereikte geen enkele speler de 50-doelpunten grens. Een totaal van 160 shutouts werd genoteerd voor het tweede reguliere seizoen op rij.
