2001-02 NHL seizoen
Het 2001-02 NHL seizoen was het 85ste reguliere seizoen van de National Hockey League. Dertig teams speelden elk 82 wedstrijden. De winnaars van de Stanley Cup waren de Detroit Red Wings, die de best of seven series met 4-1 wonnen van de Carolina Hurricanes.
De Dallas Stars verhuisden hun thuiswedstrijden van Reunion Arena naar American Airlines Center.
De NHL eerde de slachtoffers van 9/11 door alle spelers een patch op hun shirt te laten dragen, evenals een rood, wit en blauw lint achter elk net.
Voor de tweede keer in drie seizoenen, bereikte geen enkele speler de 100-punten grens.
