Treble (verenigingsvoetbal)
Een treble in het verenigingsvoetbal is wanneer een clubteam in één seizoen drie trofeeën wint. Een continentale treble is wanneer een club de nationale competitie, de belangrijkste nationale bekercompetitie en de belangrijkste continentale trofee wint. Een binnenlandse treble is wanneer een club drie nationale competities wint. Meestal betekent dit de competitietitel, de belangrijkste bekercompetitie en één secundaire competitie.
FC Barcelona is het enige Europese mannenteam in de voetbalgeschiedenis dat twee keer een continentale treble won, in 2008-09 en in 2014-15 (foto).
Continentale dreggen
Deze lijst bevat clubs die in hetzelfde seizoen de hoogste competitie van hun land en de belangrijkste bekercompetitie (de dubbel) hebben gewonnen, evenals het belangrijkste continentale toernooi. Celtic was de eerste club die dit deed in 1967. Ze wonnen de Scottish Football League, de Scottish Cup en de European Cup. Ze wonnen dat jaar ook de Scottish League Cup. Daarmee zijn ze het enige team in de geschiedenis dat in hetzelfde seizoen de binnenlandse treble en de Europa Cup won (hoewel de meeste Europese landen geen League Cup hebben).
In het mannenvoetbal hebben sinds 1967 zeven Europese clubs de treble behaald. FC Barcelona en Fc Bayern zijn de enige clubs die deze treble tweemaal hebben gewonnen. Cruz Azul is de enige Mexicaanse ploeg die een continentale treble heeft gewonnen. Het deed dit tweemaal, in 1969 en 1997.
Geen enkel Zuid-Amerikaans team heeft de treble gehaald. Dat komt omdat veel landen daar geen grote knock-outbeker hebben (of hadden). De Copa do Brasil begon pas in 1989, en de Copa Argentina in 2011. Uruguay heeft nog steeds geen knock-outbeker.
